What a year. If you told me at this point last year I’d be writing this while juggling twin boys I literally would have laughed in your face. Life is a crazy ride and I’ve been on quite the coaster this year. I’ve enjoyed bringing you guys along for the journey and sharing life tidbits, new recipes, healthy living and my travel with you. Thank you all for taking time out your crazy lives to read my little corner of the internet. I consider each of your friends, I appreciate each one of you and could not keep doing this without your support.
With the year winding down, I thought I’d go back and share some of the most popular new posts on the site from 2018. There are a lot of recipes this year as well as some travel and lifestyle posts mixed in! Plus it’s no surprise what takes the top spot… the posts about the twins! I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane and make sure to try one or two of the recipes you may not have gotten to earlier this year.Top 18 posts from 2018 from Running in a SkirtClick To Tweet

2018 will forever be the year of the twin pregnancy in my world. From being shocked that after five years of trying we were actually pregnant… to learning there was TWO… to learning their gender at the cutest gender reveal party… the year brought surprise after surprise. And of course, it all ended with their birth last month. All these posts were some of the most popular of the year, but I decided to list the one here that started it all… my pregnancy announcement. What a journey I’ve been on since June and the real adventure is only just beginning.

My year started off with an epic trip to Kauai. I loved every second of this adventure and sharing it with you guys. The post includes some fabulous food and spectacular hikes!
These tasty fries are seasoned with chili powder and served a homemade greek yogurt Chipotle Lime Ranch. They are so good and deserve the top spot as my most popular new food post of the year!
This fall recipe took off on Pinterest and is one of my favorite of the year too. These bites are made with real dried apples and taste amazing.
This is one of my favorite weekday meals!
Who says cauliflower has to be boring? This recipe is great for winter when there aren’t as many fresh veggies to pick from! It’s totally addictive too.
Stop what you are doing and make this recipe!! Trust me. 🙂 And then make it again on Super Bowl Sunday.
Sometimes the simplest recipes are the most popular! I’ve been making this egg salad for years and finally posted the recipe this spring.
I had so much fun making these healthy FUDGE Valentine’s Day truffles! I’m glad you guys liked them too.
Summer seems like a far-off dream at this point, but I loved this post about getting rid of all the fuss and actually throwing a party the host will enjoy too. These tips work well for any season.
Fun fact: I was about 12 weeks prego in this photo and trying to hide it! This dress stopped fitting the next week.
This is a DREAMY combination of flavors! It has crispy chickpeas, roasted cauliflower, and my favorite homemade dressing. It’s hearty enough for a winter dinner.
After years of talking about going to Hilton Head, I finally shared my favorite restaurants on the Island! Just thinking about it makes me want to go back!
I went to Destin in late spring and loved the gorgeous beaches! This post did well in Pinterest searches bringing more eyes on it through the summer.
Also very preggo here but hadn’t told the world yet. 🙂
This soup is SO unique! I filled it with fresh vegetables PLUS ginger and turmeric for a unique but powerful healing soup that would be perfect in the coming weeks. That’s where the golden color comes from.
My blogger dreams came true when one of my FAVORITE hotels EVER offered to host the Hubs and me on our trip to Kauai. I loved sharing with you their gorgeous grounds and all the activities on the property.
Seems like I’m not the only one with this pesky problem!
This recipe is only a handful of ingredients and is the PERFECT weekday meal without the fuss.
Here’s another great vegetarian meal that is hearty and delish!
