Our trip to Hawaii was so incredible. Our adventure started on The Big Island, including seeing a volcano and swimming with manta rays and dolphins. The next stop was Kauai, where we spent time in Poipu and took a boat tour of the Napali Coast. For the last part of our trip, we relocated to the northern part of the island, staying in Princeville, which is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful spots in the world.
Our big adventure on this part of the trip was taking the boys surfing!
For our first trip to Hawaii and our wedding, the Hubs and I did surf lessons, so it felt really special to share this with the boys.
They got the hang of it immediately, surfed their first wave, and each one they tried. Maybe we are missing their calling?
It was pure magic watching them enjoy this so much. Here's Hunter...

And here's Jackson...
And here's Daddy!!! He was still able to do it! I also took a try and kind of got up for a split second, but didn't get a photo. It was definitely easier 15 years ago. 🙂
We also went to a luau while we were there. The boys loved that too.
This part of the island has a really slow pace, and we spent lots of time at the beach here too.
It's simply stunning.
We also had delicious food and drinks, including several visits to our favorite restaurant.
Just look at this poke! You just can't get this here.
The boys also loved getting acai bowls and shaved ice.
This is our last night! We were tired, but we were so happy with all the amazing family memories we made.
The fabulous necklace I'm wearing is one Jackson made me out of one of the toys we bring to restaurants, so they can have a way to pass the time. 🙂
I spent the entire time we were on this trip trying to soak it in and memorize it. I know how lucky we are to be able to take family trips like this, and it's not lost on me how special it is. I just love sharing the world and adventures with the twins. The boys did well, all considered, and I'm hopeful we can take them to more places in the world in the coming years.
I'm working on more official travel posts from the trip coming up, but I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into our family trip. It was one of the record books!
