Before life got turned upside down my Dad came to visit us every couple of months. I always really looked forward to that night because I didn’t have to cook AND he makes really good food. His signature dish is a fabulous salmon and he recently started also making a super really easy oven asparagus recipe. I’d always made my asparagus on the stovetop but LOVED the idea of popping it in the oven. So I got the details from my Dad and this is actually HIS Garlic Parmesan Oven Roasted Asparagus recipe. The Best Garlic Parmesan Asparagus
The trick to making this the best Garlic Parmesan Asparagus is garlic salt and parmesan. Those two flavors really make this roasted asparagus pop. You could use fresh garlic BUT I actually love the flavor of garlic salt and how it can be evenly sprinkled over the entire dish.
The parmesan is also the perfect addition and the nutty cheese pairs perfectly with the earthy green asparagus. I love the way the cheese browns in this Garlic Parmesan Oven Roasted Asparagus recipe on the pan and around the individual asparagus spears.
Plus roasting is so much butter than sauteing because it really brings out the flavors and it gets a little crispy. And no one wants soggy asparagus… right?
