Fresh and healthy, Mango and Avocado Salsa is a summer must!
So... in the summer of ALL THINGS salsa (Strawberry Salsa, Mango Salsa in Mango Cups, Watermelon Salsa and who can forget last year's Peach Salsa)... I promise this is the last one for awhile. Unless I can think of an apple or pumpkin based salsa (ewwww....,) we're putting this idea to bed!
But I could not resist throwing in one dreamy, all time favorite combination of mine.... Mango AND Avocado Salsa. Because really.... you CAN'T go wrong with adding a little avocado.
It's half guac-y... half salsa-y and all summer GOODNESS.
Yes, this dip tastes like summer on a chip.
Adding the double combination of flavors ups the ingredient list to 6, but this is still a super simple throw together treat. The creamy avocado pairs perfectly with the sweet mango. They both are a dream with the lime and cilantro.
Since it does have the avocado, it will not keep as well in the fridge, but you can always make everything but the avocado ahead of time.
You can either use a tougher avocado to get the nice pieces, or pick a softer one for it to all turn creamy. Either way it tastes amazing. You really can't go wrong with this combination.
Mango and Avocado Salsa is one of my all time favorites! I've been making it for years to go on my Classic Shrimp Burgers. I'll be sharing that recipe to make along with this one on Thursday.
