Things I’m Loving Lately 16

Happy Monday Friends!

After a relaxing rainy weekend, I’m ready to start off this new work week.  It’s funny how rain can bring some calm and quiet to my life.  It feels long overdue after the very dry and busy summer we’ve had in the mountains.

I’m kicking off this new week with some positivity and focus on things that are bring joy to my life.  I encourage you to take the time to do the same.  It’s such a great way get some smiles on a Monday!

I also encourage you to enter my Jumbo New Site giveaway!  Today is the last day and entries close at midnight.  The prizes are pretty awesome and range from shoes of your choice to fitness gear.  There are five winners, so make sure to put your name in the pool!

So without further ado here are some things I’m loving lately!

Things I’m Loving Lately 16

Kale Smoothies

I’m on this kale smoothie kick.  Unfortunately I blended my blender into blender heaven, so it means I’ve been spending way too much money on these.  They are so good and make me feel like a ninja.

Note: Get a new blender.  Want to feel like a ninja more often 🙂

Fall Decor

I put up my fall decor and I’m loving it.  It makes the house seem so cozy.  I have lots more Halloween and Thanksgiving specific decor that I’ll get out closer to those holiday.

Purple Peppers

The last of my summer peppers are still growing and I’ve been enjoying these babies with my lunch salads.  They are so good and I love the color.

Cheap Gas

Who else has been getting gas for under $2?  It’s always pricey in the mountains, but wow is this a nice surprise.  Still doesn’t cover my kale smoothie habit though.

Sushi

After my normal sushi place closed, I was kind of bummed.  A reader suggested an awesome place to the south of where I live, Umi’s and I loved it!  I had been here years ago, but totally forgotten how yummy it is!  Thanks for the tip.

I always feel so silly when I purchase smoothies when I know I have most of the ingredients at home, and it’s not like it takes a special technique to make them!! Unless your blender is in blender heaven…

    • JulieWunder September 29, 2015 at 7:26 pm - Reply

      It’s so sad… I don’t know why I don’t just order a new one on amazon… 🙂

We have the most expensive gas in the country–for some odd reason–but it’s even reasonable here. Not under $2 but I think I paid 2.32 last week…

I love that kale smoothies make you feel like a ninja! Now you need a ninja blender to blend up your kale smoothies, then you will feel like a double ninja!
