Just dropping in today to wish you a Merry Christmas week and share our holiday card photos with you!
They did not turn out exactly as I had hoped. Jackson is my ham, smiling at the camera but Hunter wanted to go do anything BUT take a photo. He was all over the place.
We took dozens and didn't get a single one with everyone looking at the camera.
We did get a few good ones with just the boys though.
I saw these little bow-tie and vest outfits at Belk's and I could not resist.
I think they both look so handsome here... so at least I have a few.
Most of them look something like this though!
I have to admit I was a little bummed because I had this vision of our first perfect holiday card together. I wanted a gorgeous single photo with everyone smiling and Makena sitting right next to us. I ended up having to dig deep and find some grace and let go of my perfectionist ways and realize a perfect photo doesn't mean anything. Our life right now is basically one big crazy circus... and I guess these photos reflect that.
It's a circus but a happy one filled with all sorts of laughs all day long. And at the end of the day... I wouldn't have it any other way.
So Merry Christmas from this crazy circus!
I also wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for reading this blog over the course of the past year. Your support means so much and I consider you all friends. Thank you for making this site even a small part of your life. I could not do it without you.
I'm taking off posting on Wednesday, Christmas day but will be back Friday with December's Currently... post. I hope you have the best (even if it's not so perfect) Christmas and we'll see you on the flip side of the week.
Once again, thank you Michelle Huston for taking these photos! She did a wonderful job with two babies who would not sit still. She does all different kinds of photography including weddings, family photos, and food styling photos and videos for blogs. Make sure to check her out and tell her I sent you.
