Shake up your smoothie routine with my Honeydew Kiwi Smoothie!
Hello! Hello!
When I was a kid, kiwi was the most coveted fruit in my world. My Mom would make a fruit salad with all of your normal suspects: apples, oranges, bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew and top it with a splash of orange juice. If it was a special occasion or company was coming over, she broke down and bought the kiwi! I remember getting so excited to see those funny, fuzzy fruits go in the fruit salad.
I guess my love of all things fruit goes way back!
So for a new smoothie combination I thought I’d embrace my long lost love of kiwi with a Honeydew Kiwi Smoothie. It’s light, refreshing and totally delicious.
I used a whole banana and a handful of baby kale to add more substance, but the kiwi is really the star of the show. See all the little, yummy kiwi seeds?
My last trick for this recipe is just a touch of fresh lime juice to brighten it all up. The flavors mesh well and taste totally yummy!
Enjoy!

This looks so easy to make too, yum!!!
I can’t wait for summer this year!
This smoothie looks delicious! I’ve never had kiwi in my smoothie but it just looks so bright and fresh!
It’s such a yummy fruit– really sweet too!
Take me to an island and give me a big ‘ol glass of this!
On my way over with it 🙂
Let’s go now!
This looks so deliciously vibrant! I bet it tastes just like summer 🙂
Thank you! It’s really delicious!
I love honeydew and kiwis! 😀 I used to keep switching the names for honeydew and cantaloupe with each other when I was little, but I love it all! 😛 This is an awesome combination–such a pretty green!
Thanks Farrah! It did turn out the perfect color.
This reminds me of all the summer fruit and I am not craving all the fruits!
Thanks!
I haven’t had kiwi in forever! Time to change that and make this delicious smoothie 🙂
Thanks Rachel! I hope you enjoy it.
Love the squeeze of lime! Honeydew was my favorite fruit when I was little, and now I prefer cantaloupe. I’m sure I’d still enjoy this smoothie, though 🙂
It’s so tasty!
This makes me think that summer has to come again at some point right?!
I sure hope so! I’m so over winter at this very moment.
I love kiwi too!
And I love the long pins! Very pretty!
Thank you!!!!!
I don’t think my mum ever made me a fruit salad haha.
I am loving the colour of this smoothie though – I just feel better for looking at it.
Thanks Dannii! It’s pretty festive!
I don’t know if my mom ever outright “made” fruit salad. We would have berries and cut up fruit, but I guess I never thought of it as a salad! But I know many people who put citrus on their fruit salad. A little zip!
My Mom totally called it fruit salad 🙂 I wish I could have a cup of it again!
I liked a lot of fruits as a kid growing up.
My favorite fruit was probably watermelon
in the summertime.
Ohh!! I’d sure love warm summer day and watermelon right now! 🙂
