Currently... (June 2026)

Hi everyone!  We are still in Japan and having a great time!  We are scheduled to come back next week, and I can't wait to share more about this incredible trip with you!

Before we left, I put together this post!  I'll kick it off with a fun date night the Hubs and I got before we left.  I'll take any excuse to wear a pretty dress. 🙂

Reading...

Next up is Isola, which is a Reese's Book Club pick.  It's a story of an orphaned heiress, a young woman in 16th-century France, who's banished to an island after falling in love with the wrong person.  She fights for her survival on the island.  It's beautifully written and I can't wait to dive in.

Watching...

All sorts of videos on Japan!  Check out this one! Did you know there are 2 Disney parks in Tokyo?  This one is supposed to be the best.

Buying...

I needed a pair of true walking sandals for Japan, and after trying on tons of options, I settled on these Toas Sandals in gold.  They aren't too ugly and actually are comfortable.  I am always trying to keep my plantar fasciitis in check, and knew I needed something with support for the amount of walking we are doing.

These are a bit pricy, but totally worth it!  Comfortable right out of the box.

I recently updated my recipe for Lemon Ricotta Pasta with Shrimp, and this is now on our regular dinner rotation!  It hits that cozy pasta craving, put in a healthier package.

Anticipating...

We are looking forward to a fun summer with traveling and time at home!  I just love summer, and I'm so grateful my boys are home, and I get to spend time with them.

Praying...

Our neighbors recently lost both of the other boxers that live on our street, and we are a bit shook!  It's hard to believe, but Makena will be 10 in August, and we are praying she can be one of the boxers who can have a long life!  She is my best girl, and I am praying so hard for her to have a long life.
