Christmas 2025 was simply magical; I know we will all remember it forever for some good and bad reasons. The boys are in the sweet spot of loving Santa and all the Christmas traditions, and it is a lovely time. We made lots of beautiful memories and had a lot of fun. On the flip side, it wasn't the best Christmas because we ended up with the stomach flu in the middle of it, and some significant changes to plans due to family sickness.
This year was supposed to be extra special because my family was visiting, but it didn't work out exactly as planned. My Brother's family got the flu at the last minute and couldn't come. Luckily, Dad and Margaret still came, and we shared some of our traditions with them, including going to a Santa brunch and visiting the Grove Park Inn.
I can't believe it was the boy's 7th Christmas, and I'm holding tight to these years of Christmas magic for them. You can catch up on their first Christmas, second Christmas, third Christmas, fourth Christmas, fifth Christmas, sixth Christmas, and seventh Christmas here! I enjoy returning and seeing how they have grown through the years.
We kicked our weekend off with a Santa Brunch at a local resort. It was such a sweet event, featuring breakfast, a craft, and time with Santa.

The kids just loved it!

And they got their last requests to Santa for the big day.

It was wonderful to share this with my Dad and Margaret.

We made the most of our time and also fit in dinner at the Grove Park Inn. The kids even decorated gingerbread cookies.

The dinner was so good, and it was such a gorgeous winter night.

We all got to see the gingerbread houses this year, which was a treat since they were gone last year.

And my Dad got to give the boys their Christmas present! Two keyboards. They have wanted to learn how to play!

On Christmas Eve, Eve, we went to the Biltmore to see the house and have dinner.

I just love seeing the house this time of year.

And you can't beat another winter sunset like this.

Unfortunately, after that, our family got the stomach flu one by one during Christmas week. I had it on Christmas Day. We tried to stay positive and make the best of it, but it was hard. I did get the kids' Christmas photo this year! Poor Hunter was sick this day, and still took it for me.

I'm so grateful for my little family and that we were still able to make the most of Christmas, despite getting so sick! The stomach flu going around is pretty bad, and I've heard so many people who were also ill over Christmas! I'm so sorry if you were sick too. Being sick on a holiday definitely puts what is important into perspective, and family is at the very top of my list.

Luckily, we are on the mend, the house is bleached, and we are ready for the New Year! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas too.
