Get ready for some berry smoothie fun! My Berrylicous Layered Smoothie will have you dancing all day long.
Let's talk smoothies now. Particularly an ice cold Berrylicous Layered Smoothie. We are quickly closing into Fall, but for most of us it's still stinkin' hot and the last thing I want to do is think about warm comfort food. In fact it's close to 100 at Hilton Head today.
I'm not complaining AT ALL, but a girl has to have a way to cool off!
So to enjoy these last few weeks of summer heat, and summer fruit... whip up a layered smoothie.
The trick to getting the layers is to pop it in the freezer after each round, so you don't mix up the pretty lines.
You can of course also just mix this whole thing together and it would still taste fabulous, but if you are feeling a touch creative the layered smoothie is the way to go.
That top layer is just from the blueberries. Isn't the color amazing?
Either way this is a wonderful way to enjoy the end of summer and get all kinds of super food nutrients. It's perfect for a quick on-the-go breakfast or day time snack.
Berrylicous Layered Smoothie
- Mix the pink layer in a blender and pour in cup. Place in freezer for 30 minutes to firm up the layer.
- Mix the white layer and carefully pour on top. Place in freezer for 30 minutes again.
- Mix the purple layer and pour on top.
- Serve immediately.
