Hi everyone! I'm not sure how we are days away from Christmas already, but here we are! We have been having an enjoyable holiday season, trying to soak in these sweet, magical years for the boys. The highlight of this past week was our first visit to Tryon Winterfest. It was a bit of a ride down the mountain, but we had a lot of fun and it was great to do something new this year.

Some highlights included meeting the Grinch.

We also got in another Santa visit!

The big guy has been very busy this year!

And we also took the boys ice skating for the first time. They finally got it a bit near the end.

And I was shocked that it was so hard! I swear, I used to be an ok ice skater, but I was so scared of falling that it was hard to get into it. 🙂 No one has time for Mom to be hurt at the holidays!! 🙂
The boys loved it, though.

We also rode the carousel.

And I could not resist! Christmas brings out the kid in all of us.

They also had some beautiful light displays including one you walk though and another big drive throug one.

It was an enjoyable time and worth the trip!

We also made it over to the Arboretum to see the Winter Lights. They do such a nice job with it!

And we also got to see the new trolls, which are super fun!

And finally, in the middle of all this, the Hubs and I had a date night and decided to try the new Posana in Biltmore Park. They have completely redone the inside of the space, and it's gorgeous! I'm so happy to have this restaurant in town. The service and food were also incredible.

We got the clam appetizer.

The kale salad was divine.

And the fresh catch for the day were scallops, which were so tender.

And we loved dessert too! This is a new must-try spot in South Asheville!

That's all for this week. I'm so glad the boys are out of school for a few weeks now! I'm looking forward to spending Christmas together with them. We also have some really fun family stuff planned that I can't wait to share with you after the holidays.
I hope everyone is healthy, happy, and having a wonderful holiday season!
