Hi everyone! Today, I'm sharing the second half of our Spring Break trip. We started our week in Marco Island and finished it in Orlando, where we stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and visited the Animal Kingdom. The boys had been to Magic Kingdom but not to any other parks, so we are trying to take them one at a time. We had so much fun going all in on the Animal Kingdom theme for this trip.
We had two full days there, and we spent the first one at Animal Kingdom. As an animal lover, I just adore it there.
I hadn't been in many years, and we also got to see The World of Avatar, which was incredible. I can't believe how much had changed since I had gone.
The boys also rode the ride, which was a big deal for them.
I had done some pre-planning, and we were able to fit in some great rides and shows without it being too much. My favorites were the safari and the Lion King show.
We also got to visit some characters. We saw Rafiki and got his autograph.
We saw some of our favorites at the Tusker House, where we had lunch.
I just love the big smiles I was getting from the boys when meeting the characters. We've been collecting autographs for several years now.
I know we are getting close to the end of them liking stuff like this, so I was soaking it in.
It's pricey, but I just love how the character dining gives the kids a little downtime and a way to meet all the characters without standing in another line.
We all just loved it!
We were also so lucky to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which was on my bucket list. This was our room view!!!
I could have cried tears of joy.
The resort was so fun and so fabulous for kids.
I'll be publishing my review of it soon.
We split our day between pool time and doing some of the fabulous resort activities, including this fun all-day learning activity for kids, where they learned about animals, Africa, and conservation while earning beads to make a necklace. So fun!
We were also able to see my entire family there. My Brother's family also visited at the same time, and we got to spend some time with them too.
These kids are so cute together, and it makes my heart happy for them to play together. It's such a fun little crew!
And of course, we got to see my Dad, who still lives in Orlando.
We also had some great African meals in the resort that went along with our theme.
One night, the boys even got picked to be drummers for the evening and got to learn how to play drums. They got a certificate for being an honorary drummer, too. It was pure Disney magic and one of those moments we will remember forever.
It was a crazy busy couple of days, but I'm so happy we got to go! I just loved this spot, and it was perfect for the kids at this age. Disney has a way of making things special.
That wraps up my favorite photos from our Spring Break trip, but I'm going to be sharing more travel guides from our trip in the coming weeks, so make sure to check back soon.
