Be Thankful… Always

Hi y’all and Happy Thanksgiving!

I just love this holiday.  A day all about food, family and being thankful.  Does it get any better?

As always, I am thankful for you guys and this blog.  I sincerely appreciate each and everyone of you who makes Running in a Skirt even a small part of your day.  I am so blessed to have this little corner of internet.  Without you my life would look much different.  You guys are always at the top of my thankful list.

I like to think I’m a cup half full, optimistic person… but like everyone I struggle to stay positive all the time.  Life can be hard.  When I find myself struggling, I go back to the basics of making a list of everything I have to be thankful for.  My list is long every day, not just Thanksgiving.

I mean look at this little family of mine.  Sooo many blessings in one photo.

Family Photo Thanksgiving 2016

My message today is to be thankful this holiday weekend… but don’t forget to “Be Thankful… Always.”  Can you imagine the kind of world we would live in if we spread that Thanksgiving mentality through the entire rest of the year?  Grateful hearts are a magical thing and the possibilities are endless.

I hope you have a holiday filled with loved ones, food and laughter.   I hope you take time to count your blessings and savor every last bite of your meal.  I hope you LIVE this weekend to the fullest.

That’s exactly what I plan on doing.  I’m taking the long weekend off of blogging to spend time with my family, but I’ll be back Monday a recap of all the holiday chaos.

Can’t wait to see you then.

xoxo,

Julie

Julie I stumbled onto this a little bit late, but I loved reading it! Would you care if I added your “Grateful hearts…..” comment to my quote collection, giving you credit of course? That really spoke volumes to me!

AMEN! In everything give thanks… That is SO hard sometimes, but I am so thankful that all these trials aren’t worthy to be compared with the glory that is coming.

Thank you for being such a precious, joyful friend despite so many trials.
