Southwest Grilled Sweet Potato Wedges recipe

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Garnish: Fresh Cilantro


  • In a large pot of water boil the potatoes whole for 10-15 minutes.  The larger the potato, the longer the time.
  • Preheat your grill to 400 degrees
  • Once the potatoes are cool enough to cut, slice them into thin ⅓ inch wedges.  Carefully toss the wedges in the olive oil. chipotle chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Grill the potatoes for 5-10 minutes, flipping once until the potatoes are tender.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.


Serve these as a side dish at a cookout!
