Hi everyone! We were so lucky to have the chance to go on an amazing cruise with my Dad and extended family this summer. The cruise was on Holland America and featured Canada and New England, including several towns in Maine and parts of Nova Scotia. I'd always wanted to go to Nova Scotia, so it was such an amazing experience. I'm going to share all the details of the cruise, including a review of Holland America soon, but for now I wanted to share some of my favorite family moments with you. We got to see some really beautiful places, plus have so much family time.
My Dad graciously set up the trip and hosted us. We were so happy to have time with him this summer, after we lost Margaret in the spring. It was so bittersweet, though, because she was supposed to be with us.
Here's the ship! It was a much smaller boat, which we actually liked!
The cruise started off in Boston, which was so much fun. I have a post coming up in a few weeks with the best things to do in Boston with kids. For my local friends, Alleigent has a direct flight there, and I highly recommend it for a weekend trip!

And we were so happy to spend time with our cousins!
Our first stop was the super charming town of Eastport, Maine.
We explored the town and took a boat ride.
We got to see sea lions, whales, and gorgeous scenery. This was one of my favorite moments of the trip!
The next day took us all the way into Canada and Nova Scotia, where we got to see the Bay of Fundy, which has the largest tidal variation in the world.
And the next day we got to explore the gorgeous Peggy's Cove.
The boys love this spot because of all of the rocks to climb on.
And we all loved it for this tasty lobster roll.
The dinners each night were fun too!
And we got to listen to live music each night with my Dad.
Next up was Sydnee, which was charming too.
The people in Nova Scotia were so nice too.
Holland America is known for it's orange night party, so I had to go with that theme.
This one is blurry with my niece, but it made me laugh. It was SO windy up there on the boat.
We tried to hit up shows with Dad when we could!
Our at sea day was fun too.
The boat had a retractable cover, which allowed the kids to swim even when it was colder.
Just look at this matching moment. 🙂
The last day were were make in Portland Maine, which was a super charming town.

A big thank you to my Dad for planning and taking us on this trip. We are so blessed. And here's the family!!! This year, even my Dad's Brother's and sisters came.
This cruise was so much fun and such a unique experience! I can't wait to share more details with your in a review soon. It's a great way to see this corner of the world without having to drive a lot.
