Hi everyone! We are finally back into the routine of school, and it's been good for all of us! We had a nice weekend last weekend, which kicked off the boys' Valentine's Day at school. I got to help with the party, and it was super cute. I'm so glad I got to go!
The boys even surprised me with flowers for Valentine's Day. Jackson picked out these.
And Hunter picked out these. They were so excited, and it made my world.
Tax season is officially in full swing, which means the Hubs was working on the weekend. The boys and I went out for our own adventure and started with tacos at Taco Temple. Our plan was to go see the Trolls at the arboretum next.
We ended up getting stuck in traffic for over an hour trying to get in. There was a line back to the outlet mall, which is miles away. I had no idea it would be so crowded, or that we might not even make it close to the arboretum. Everyone was bummed, and eventually this happened.
So we decided to pivot and visit another park and the library.
It has been so cold, that the temp in the 50's felt like summer.
The boys had a lot of fun.
They made some friends, did some climbing and it was a perfect way to get out of the car.
For dinner, we made my Mussels in White Wine Sauce and Mussels Marinara.
We decided to do our date night this week on Sunday instead of Saturday, to miss the Valentine's Day night hustle. We went to Red Stagg for drinks and apps.
And had the most delicious dinner at Corner Kitchen. We were trying to support restaurants still recovering from Helene.
Overall, it was such a fun weekend! I just wish I had seen the trolls. 🙁
