Hi everyone! We've had another mostly good week at home and school. The boys are still doing well at school, and I'm so grateful. Hunter had a mild bug midweek, but was doing better pretty quickly.
Makena had to have a scheduled surgery midweek to remove this growth on her eye that kept getting infected. She's slept a lot this week, but is doing well, all things considered. My heart has become very aware that she just turned 9. I was pretty worried about it, and I'm glad it's behind us and she's ok.
The highlight of the week was the boys' first real soccer game. They absolutely loved it, and we're excited to be on a great team with great kids and parents. I'm kind of a fan of soccer Saturdays, too.
We also got the special treat of going out for a much-needed date night. We started at the Visual Rooftop bar, which is part of Burial. It's super fun and great for a pretty day.
Don't mind me just holding onto summer with my clothes. 🙂
For dinner, we tried the new Luminosa in downtown Asheville, and WOW, it was so good. Honestly, one of the best meals we have had in Asheville ever. It's located in the new hotel in the Flatiron Building.
The building was super creative and filled with unique items. Everything was handmade, too. We started with the cheese and meat plate.
We also shared these handmade pastas.
For a side dish, these figs were amazing.
And I got the trout. The Hubs got a steak and simply loved it too. The food tastes so good, even better than the photos.
The service was impeccable, too, and we just loved it. If you are looking for a new special place to try, this is it.
And in final news this week, the boys wanted to try Cub Scouts this year after some of their friends joined, too. So we made the trek downtown to get uniforms, and here we are. 🙂
I hope they love it!!
That's all for this week. I hope everyone had a great week, too! As always, thanks for reading and following along on our little journey.
