Hi everyone! After an amazing summer, the boys went back to school. They started first grade, and I can't believe they aren't the little kids at school anymore. They have had a good start, and I'm praying for their teacher and them to have a good year. We are so grateful to be a part of such a sweet little school community. Knowing the school has helped the first week go a bit smoother this year, and I've felt better sending them off each day.
Here they are at Meet the Teacher.
And here's our first day of school pics! They have grown so much and really seem so much bigger now.
I don't know how we've gotten here, but we are here.
Here's Hunter.
And here's Jackson...
We upgraded to bigger lunch boxes and water bottles this year. It feels very big!
It's been so bittersweet to send them back, and I really do miss them dearly. It has been good for all of us to get back into some sort of routine, though.
Another highlight of the week was that I got to celebrate my birthday at the Grove Park Inn.
We got cocktails and had an amazing dinner at the Sunset Terrace.
This was just as amazing as it looks!
And we also snuck in a quick visit to the Biltmore. The Hub's sister came up for the day, and we showed our cousins around. It was a lot fo fun!
After being gone for a big chunk of the summer, it really feels nice to get settled back at home again. I'm hoping we can stay on track at school and have more good days! Thinking about all the other parents who sent their kids back this week, too.
That's all for this week. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
