This Healthy Blueberry Banana Bread recipe is super moist, fluffy, and delicious!  Use ripe bananas and frozen or fresh blueberries in this just-sweet enough bread.  My Healthy Banana Bread features white whole wheat flour and honey instead of sugar for an irresistible loaf.  Serve it as a breakfast, snack, or dessert you can feel good eating.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • In one bowl mix together the dry ingredients... flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • In a second large mixing bowl mix together the wet ingredients... melted butter (not hot,) mashed banana, honey, eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Carefully fold in the blueberries.
  • Pour in a loaf pan.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

If fresh berries aren't in season, you can use frozen berries.
 
Storage & Leftovers
Store any leftovers well covered with foil or in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.  For longer storage, keep it in the fridge.  Store your Blueberry Banana Bread in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
 
Can I freeze this?
Yes! You can freeze the entire loaf or individual slices.  Wrap it tightly in aluminum foil and put it in the freezer.  It will store for up to 3 months frozen.  Thaw at room temperature and warm in the toaster oven.
