Chocolate Chip Waffle recipe

This Chocolate Chip Waffle recipe is super easy, filled with cinnamon, vanilla, and of course, chocolate chips. It's a perfect sweet breakfast, or brunch for kids or adults. I've included directions below to make them homemade from scratch or waffle mix.

In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients, the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cinnamon.
In the same bowl, add the wet ingredients, the milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until well combined. Fold in half of the chocolate chips, reserving some to sprinkle on the top.
Allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes.
While the batter is resting, heat your waffle iron.
Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook according to the waffle iron instructions.
Plate and top with chocolate chips and maple syrup.
Storage & Leftovers
These can be stored and frozen well. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week.
Freezing
To freeze them, allow them to completely cool. Freeze the leftover waffles with parchment paper between them to keep them from sticking. Store in plastic wrap or aluminum foil in an airtight container in the freezer for up to three months.
