Rainbow Fruit Skewers with Honey Almond Dipping Sauce

Rainbow Fruit Skewers with dip are the perfect festive dish for the season. Adding a light and healthy Honey Almond Dipping Sauce with a yogurt base is the perfect way to make this fruit party ready.

Ingredients
  

For Dipping Sauce

  • 1 cup plain 0% Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon real almond extract **
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon **

For the Skewers

  • 16 large strawberries, green top cut off
  • ½ pound cantelope, cubed
  • ½ pound pineapple, cubed
  • 4 kiwi, peeled and quartered
  • 48 large purple or black grapes
  • 16 skewers
  • garnish: fresh mint

Instructions
 

  • Mix all ingredients for the dip and return to the fridge.
  • Prepare the skewers by slipping on the grapes first. Push them to the top and then add the kiwi, pineapple and cantaloupe. Top it off with the strawberry.

Notes

You can sub vanilla extract for almond extract if you don't have it.
** You can also sub fresh lime for the almond extract and cinnamon to make honey lime dipping sauce.
