Apple Snacks

Julie Wunder
Apple Snacks are a fun, healthy, and easy upgrade over serving plain apples for snacks.  Also called Healthy Apple Donuts, these apple slices are topped with peanut butter and sprinkled with fun toppings like chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, or dried fruit.  The perfect healthy snack for kids or adults.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Wash apples.
  • Using a sharp knife cut the apples into flat circles like shown. Use a small melon baller to scoop out the core.
  • Spread peanut butter on top of each slice.
  • Sprinkle on the toppings of choice.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

If not serving the apples immediately, you can soak them in a lemon water mixture for a few minutes to keep the apples from turning brown.
I'd still recommend eating them within a few hours of making them.  Store in the fridge in an airtight container until serving.
